What catches people out in Czechia
Prague tourist spots quote in euros at a deliberately poor rate. Paying in koruna is almost always cheaper — this is the classic dynamic-currency-conversion trap.
When this rule stops working
Rules of thumb rot quietly. This one holds while the rate stays roughly between 25.5 and 26.5 CZK to the franc. Outside that band a different divisor becomes the better one to memorise.
