What catches people out in Turkey
The lira has moved further and faster than any other currency on this list. A rule that worked last year will be badly wrong this year — this is the page to re-read before you fly.
When this rule stops working
Rules of thumb rot quietly. This one holds while the rate stays roughly between 54.5 and 55.5 TRY to the euro. Outside that band a different divisor becomes the better one to memorise.
